7 Steps to Writing Your Book and Getting it Published
Once your book has been professionally edited, the next step (for those who decide to look for a traditional publisher as opposed to self-publishing), is to land a literary agent and / or publisher for your book. These days landing a literary agent is advised and they will then help you to find the right publisher for your book. All agents and publishers will look carefully at your submissions package first – and if they like what they see they will then ask to see the rest of your manuscript before making a decision about whether to take you and your book on. Therefore, it’s important to get the submissions package right.
As Your Book Angel, I put together submissions packages for authors who are looking to land a traditional publishing deal. The package includes cover letter, 1-page synopsis, resume, marketing plan, 3 chapters of your manuscript (or equivalent), and a list of five suggested literary agents and five suggested publishers to send the submissions package to.
Or if you decide to self-publish you may find my publishing packages of interest.
